  2. What cookies are

    Cookies are small text files stored on your device, such as a computer, tablet or mobile phone, when you visit a website. They allow the Platform to recognise your device, remember your actions and settings for a period of time, such as your selected language or currency, and make the Platform easier to use.

    We also use your browser's local storage (localStorage) to save your choice about analytics cookies. We do not use tracking pixels or advertising identifiers on the Platform.

  3. Why we use cookies

    We use cookies and similar technologies to:

    • provide and secure the Platform's core functions;
    • remember settings such as your language, currency and cookie choice;
    • understand how visitors use the Platform and improve its performance, if you consent to analytics.

    We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. The third-party services we use are Google Analytics, which loads only with your consent, and Google reCAPTCHA, which protects selected forms from spam and automated misuse.

  4. Cookies and similar technologies we use

    We use only the necessary and analytics technologies described below.

    1. Necessary cookies

      These technologies are strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested or to operate the Platform securely. Without them, features such as login, form protection, your selected language or currency, and storage of your analytics choice would not work.

      • sessionid – a first-party cookie set by Liko s.r.o. It may also be created for a visitor who is not signed in, for example when visiting a page with a protected form or using another Platform feature that requires a session. Once you sign in, it also keeps you signed in. It is stored for no longer than 30 days, its expiry is renewed each time you use the Platform, and it is deleted or invalidated when you sign out.
      • csrftoken – a first-party cookie set by Liko s.r.o. It may be created on your first visit to the Platform and protects forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). It is stored for 364 days.
      • django_language – a first-party cookie set by Liko s.r.o. It is created when you change the language and stores the language you selected. It is deleted at the end of the browser session.
      • currency – a first-party cookie set by Liko s.r.o. It is created when you change the display currency and stores the currency you selected. It is stored for one year.
      • cookie_consent – a record in your browser's local storage set by Liko s.r.o. It stores whether you accepted or declined analytics, the time of your choice and the version date of this Cookie Policy. It remains stored until you change your choice, clear the Platform's data in your browser or the version of this Cookie Policy changes.
      • _GRECAPTCHA and reCAPTCHA storage – when Google reCAPTCHA is used, Google may set the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie and technical records in local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage) on the google.com domain, such as rc::a. They are used to perform security analysis, distinguish a person from an automated program and protect against spam and misuse. Session-storage records are deleted when the relevant browser-tab session ends; Google determines the lifetime of other records under its current policies.
    2. Analytics cookies

      Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the Platform, including which pages they visit and how they move around it. We load Google Analytics only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner.

      • _ga – a first-party analytics cookie created by Google Analytics. It distinguishes individual visitors and is normally stored for two years.
      • _ga_DEL841FVKF – a first-party analytics cookie created by Google Analytics. It stores session state for the Platform's analytics property and is normally stored for two years.
  5. Legal basis and consent for cookies

    Under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, we may store information on your device or access information stored on it without your consent only where the sole purpose is to carry out or facilitate the transmission of a communication over a network, or where this is strictly necessary to provide an information society service you have expressly requested. We use the necessary technologies listed in Section 4 on this basis.

    Where the use of necessary technologies involves processing personal data, we process it, depending on the circumstances, primarily to perform a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in securing the Platform and preventing misuse. The exemption from consent for storing or accessing information on a device and the legal basis for processing personal data under the GDPR are separate legal questions.

    We need your prior consent under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR to store and read analytics cookies and for the related processing of personal data through Google Analytics. We do not load Google Analytics without your consent.

    When you first visit the Platform, a cookie banner or consent-management tool is displayed that:

    • explains that we use cookies;
    • allows you to accept or decline Google Analytics;
    • links to this Cookie Policy for more information.

    You can change your cookie settings at any time as described in Section 6.

  6. Managing cookies

    1. Through the cookie banner or settings

      You can manage your choice through the cookie banner displayed on your first visit to the Platform. You can return to these settings at any time through the “Cookie Settings” link in the Platform footer. You can:

      • accept Google Analytics;
      • decline Google Analytics.

      Your choice remains in your browser's local storage until you change it or clear the Platform's data. If we materially change the purpose or scope of analytics, we will ask you to make a new choice.

    2. Through your browser settings

      Most web browsers allow you to:

      • view cookies stored on your device;
      • delete cookies;
      • block cookies from selected websites;
      • block all cookies.

      If you block or delete cookies, some Platform features may not work correctly. This is particularly true of necessary cookies.

      To manage cookies in your browser, follow the instructions usually found in its “Help” or “Settings” section.

  7. Third-party cookies

    Google reCAPTCHA is used only on selected protected forms. It does not load merely because you open a page. It loads after you click to open a protected contact form or listing-report form. It may then create technical records, such as rc::a, in local storage (localStorage) or session storage (sessionStorage) within separate third-party storage for the google.com domain. When performing the check, it may also set the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie.

    When reCAPTCHA performs a check, or when you voluntarily sign in with Google, your browser may also display other cookies from the google.com domain, such as SID, HSID, SSID, APISID, SAPISID, SIDCC or cookies beginning with __Secure-. Their precise scope depends in particular on whether you are signed in to a Google account in your browser, your Google settings and Google's current service configuration. Some may have existed before you visited the Platform and are neither created nor managed by the Platform.

    Google Analytics loads only with your consent and creates the analytics cookies _ga and _ga_DEL841FVKF on the Platform's domain. Google Analytics, Google reCAPTCHA and Sign in with Google are provided by Google Ireland Limited; depending on how the relevant service is provided, Google LLC may also participate in the processing.

    For details of how Google processes personal data and any transfers to countries outside the EEA, please read our Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.

  8. How long cookies are stored

    The specific storage periods for cookies and similar technologies in your browser are listed in the register in Section 4. The analytics cookies _ga and _ga_DEL841FVKF are normally stored for two years. This is the period for which they may remain on your device.

    This must be distinguished from the retention period for data in Google Analytics. Under our Google Analytics account settings, Google retains user-level and event-level data for two months. This setting does not affect aggregate anonymised statistics. For more information about the retention of personal data, please read our Privacy Policy.

  9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

    We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if the cookies we use or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised version on this page and change the “Last updated” date shown at the top.

    We may also notify you of material changes through the Platform or by email.
